Under the aegis of Udaipur Women’s Unit of Laghu Udyog Bharti, the two-days Swayam Siddha
Handicrafts Fair was organized at RKay Mall, Panchavati on 21 oct & 22 oct 2021. The fair was
inaugurated by Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, Vice-Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar
Vidhypeeth Vishwavidyalaya S.Sarangdevot and DSP Chetna Bhati.
Ms.Pinky Mandawat told that “Some Household women came together with the idea of this
institute. In which women can easily make their products at home and reach the people. All the
products are hand-made with the proper care as to be taken. In this self-help group, women make
handmade products and handicrafts items including pickles, papads, marble items, incense sticks,
chocolates, gifts items, household spices, jewellery, soaps, etc.
The fair have encouraged women financially and promoted handicraft items and valuables. It
also highlighted the efforts of women with the unit of Laghu Udhyog Bharti to reach the local
community with their handmade items. As more than 100 women have participated, it shows the
success of this fair.
